Double Canyon Vineyard in the US has announced the addition of the new Double Canyon Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon to its existing portfolio.
The inaugural release of the 2012 vintage is a wine made from several vineyards throughout Horse Heaven Hills and it will be available in select markets.
It is a blend of 13% Syrah and a small percentage of Malbec, the company claims.
Double Canyon Vineyard manager Will Beightol said that the company has made the wine using fruit sourced from some of the region's preeminent vineyards, along with its own estate vineyard.
"What I love about working with these vineyards is that the wine in the bottle reflects the choices you make in the vineyard each vintage," added Beightol.
The company has initially produced 700 cases of Double Canyon Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon, which is priced at $25 per bottle.
