The UK biotechnology and personalized medicine company Epistem has received Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) accreditation for its contract research division's histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) laboratories.
The contract research division provides specialized histology and IHC services including the development of novel methods for protein detection and localization in UK Human Tissue Authority accredited laboratories, according to the company.
The division also provides valuable information on drug efficacy, target identification and protein biomarkers to support preclinical testing and clinical drug development programs within pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.
Epistem contract research division co-founder and managing director Catherine Booth said, "Accreditation strengthens our clinical biomarker capabilities enabling us to support regulatory submissions from partners who use our technology and expertise globally."
