Reportedly, Eurofer predicted the European steel market was no sign of recovery in 2013. According to Mr. Wolfgang Eder, ceo of Voestalpine, the president of the European steelmakers' association Eurofer, the steel demand was not a great performance so far compared to last year.
However, the European crude steel production will not be regained in the next five years and it means the steel consumption is not likely to improve in next few years. It has to make an adjustment for current steel market how to save the production costs and maximum profits in near future. It will benefit European steelmakers to against with other rivals.
