The Ends Use 10% Less Metal Compared to Traditional Beverage Ends

North American brewery Sly Fox Brewing has utilized the new 360 End beverage can technology developed by Crown for its ninth canned beer Helles Golden Lager, which is set for launch in April 2013.

The can's entire lid is removable, turning it into a drinking vessel and doing away with the need for separate glassware.

Sly Fox Brewing head brewer Brian O'Reilly said, "This technology allows the full flavor and aroma of the beer to hit the drinker's senses and makes the can an even more appealing package for outdoor activities and situations where you want to be able to move around and sip your beer easily."

The brewery's Pikeland Pils brand will be offered in the same format as Helles at Citizens Bank Park in spring and summer 2013.

Crown claims that the full aperture end created for the Helles and Pikeland Pils cans use Crown's SuperEnd beverage ends.

The ends use 10% less metal compared to traditional beverage ends, while making the cans environmentally friendly, according to the company.

Sly Fox beer with the 360 End will debut at the Craft Brewers Conference in Washington, District of Columbia at the end of March 2013.
