Global conglomerate Honeywell has added two bar code label printers to its portfolio that are designed to provide an entry-level solution for industrial printing.
The two printers dubbed, PD43 and PD43c, can be used in different industries including retail, distribution centre, transportation, and healthcare.
They are designed to make the tasks like airline ticketing, baggage tag printing, shelf label printing and pharmaceutical label printing simpler.
The PD43 series is expected to have printing speed of up to eight inches per second, and it includes an integrated web interface. It has a compact design and is easy to install. It also features configuration tools and connectivity options and media support.
The ribbon core diameters of the new printers are similar to the one used in its predecessors including PD41, PD42 or PC43 printers, which is expected to make the transition easier.
Honeywell Scanning & Mobility vice president Juan Picon said: "The PD43 and even-smaller PD43c pack our latest printing technology into a compact yet rugged package.
"Unlike competing products that force a choice between price and performance, these new printers can scale with growing businesses at an accessible price point, helping organizations mind their bottom line without sacrificing performance."
The PD43 and PD43c are available now in the U.S., Europe, Brazil, Russia, and Turkey along with other major AIDC markets.
