Alternapak and Nampak have concluded a cooperation agreement to develop the fast growing African market for long life liquid products in Cape Town, South Africa.
In terms of the cooperation agreement, Alternapak, a supplier of aseptic reels for brick-style packaging in Europe will supply products, as well as technical know-how and support, while South African packaging company Nampak will market the opportunity.
Alternapak's aseptic board, which is supplied in reels can be used for long life milk and juice and is printed and creased for folding on existing filling machines.
At present, the company supplies to dairy and juice manufacturers in Europe including Arla, Muellermilch and Refresco.
