Bobst, a Switzerland based supplier of equipment and services to packaging and label manufacturers, has introduced new automatic packer for corrugated packaging.
The Speedpack corrugated-box packer is designed to gently pick up boxes, which exit the folder-gluer, and batches them up quickly and reliably in exactly the right way.
Capable of offering improved fluid operation and reduced footprint, the machine allows users to realize the full potential of Bobst folding-gluing lines to increase productivity, the firm said.
Bobst Sheet-fed business unit product marketing head Jacques Reymond said: “We have listened to what our clients say they most need to optimize their folding-gluing machines and Speedpack delivers exactly that. We believe it sets a new benchmark in this space.”
The robust packer is equipped to process any type of box, while maintaining irreproachable levels of quality, the company noted.
In addition to reduce costs, the machine will help optimize quality and line efficiencies, thus allowing for rapid return on investment. It is capable of packing straight line, crash-lock and 4/6-corner cases.
Bobst Sheet-fed business unit sales head Emilio Corti said: “As the most productive packer on the market, we believe SPEEDPACK will become the natural extension of your corrugated folder-gluer.”
The Speedpack automatic packer was presented by Bobst for the first time at a FEFCO technical seminar held in October 2017.
