Medline Industries has entered into a two-year agreement to distribute MemorialCare Health System's, a not-for-profit integrated delivery system, medical and surgical supplies.
Under the agreement, which is expected to begin from 1 September 2012, Medline will distribute medical and surgical supplies to MemorialCare's six medical centers in Southern California, US.
MemorialCare Health System's medical centers include Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach, Community Hospital Long Beach, Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills and San Clemente, California, US.
Medline said the agreement, which is expected to be worth approximately $80m over the course of the deal, will provide its broad array of national brand and Medline brand medical and surgical products.
Medline is involved in distributing and manufacturing health care products to more than 125,000 products to hospitals, extended care facilities, surgery centers, physician offices and home care dealers.
