From The Beginning of February to Mid-March 2012 Showed a Slight Revival in Demand Again

From the point of view of Central European manufacturers of standard pallets, the period from the beginning of February to mid-March 2012 showed a slight revival in demand again. Following a weak start to the year and a first slight recovery of business activity in the second half of January, subsequent weeks saw further slight growth in demand and in order receipts. Pallet manufacturers also attribute what has tended to be a rather sluggish market trend in part to relatively high stocks of finished goods and promotional sales at several big companies. Any revival in demand on the standard-pallet market has been satisfied initially from existing stock. From today’s perspective, pallet manufacturers are reckoning that the situation will normalise again in stages during the course of the next few weeks, especially as the stable domestic and export business situations will probably bring high demand for load carriers again during 2012. However, most producers doubt that the record level of turnover seen in 2011 can be reached or exceeded. Source: euwid-wood-products.com
