Swiss packaging and print company Fratelli Roda has announced the installation of a Bobst Accucheck unit, which delivers the capability to in-line quality check its folding carton production.
The new Accucheck unit has been positioned in-line with a Bobst Expertfold or Masterfold folder-gluer and checks each carton for issues pertaining to printing defects, oil or water marks, ink splashes, carton damage or scratches, bad cut quality or color variation.
While checking, the system prevents any cartons showing up defects from reaching the packing line. The technology is expected to allow the company to get new customers in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries especially.
Fratelli Roda, which produces paperboard packaging and commercial print products runs seven Bobst folder-gluers including a new Expertfold 80 A2.
