DOC Announced Friday The Final Results of Its Administrative Review of AD order

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Friday the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from Korea. This is the nineteenth and final administrative review of this order.

The review of the antidumping order covers seven producers/exporters--Dongbu Steel Co. Ltd.; Dongkuk Industries Co. Ltd.; Haewon MSC Co. Ltd,; Hyundai HYSCO; LG Chem Ltd.; LG Hausys Ltd.; and Union Steel Manufacturing Co. Ltd.--during the period from August 1, 2011 through February 14, 2012.

The period of review ended on February 14, 2012, because the AD order was revoked, effective February 14, 2012.

The DOC selected Dongbu and Hyundai HYSCO as mandatory respondents for individual review, and it has calculated a final weighted-average dumping margin of 7.64 percent for Dongbu and 0.00 (zero) percent for Hyundai HYSCO.

For the remaining five companies--Dongkuk, Haewon, LG Chem, LG Hausys, and Union Steel--the DOC determined a dumping margin of 7.64 percent, based on the margin for Dongbu. In calculating dumping margins for companies not subject to individual review, the DOC does not include a de minimis or zero dumping margin for a mandatory respondent.

Accordingly, the DOC will instruct US Customs and Border Protection to liquidate entries that were made during the period of review at the above-mentioned final assessment rates.
