The deadline to submit project and product entries for the 2014 Lighting Design Awards is fast approaching. Companies have until 6 September to get their entry forms in.
The 2013 Lighting Design Awards were a huge success and there has already been an excellent response from entrants looking forward to next year's event. Now Lighting magazine is urging all industry professionals to put forward their projects, products and companies for the 2014 event.
Editor Ben Cronin said: "We've got a great judging panel lined up this year with some significant names from the industry. I'd especially encourage manufacturers to enter our product categories as this is a great way of putting your products in front of an audience of specifiers and end users. With the calibre of project judges we have, companies entering the project categories can also be sure that their schemes will be judged to the most exacting standards."
New to the product judging panel this year are John Lewis's Barry Ayling and Geoff Archenold from InGan Research. Last year's Lighting Designer of the Year, Florence Lam of Arup, will sit on the project judging panel alongside such luminaries as Xavier Fulbright, associate director of lighting design at AECOM.
In 2014 the LDAs have a new category: Manufacturer of the Year. This was created to?reward the most outstanding company supplying the UK lighting sector over the last 12 months.
The 2014 Lighting Design Awards take place at the London Hilton, Park Lane, on 20 March next year. To submit your entry before the 6 September deadline, visit the Lighting Design Awards website.
