Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus (MFTBC), a commercial vehicle manufacturer, will unveil its new 2012 model Aero Star large route bus for Japan.
Fuso said that the new bus will meet upcoming Passenger Protection Regulation of Economic Commission for Europe (ECE Regulation) which will come into force from July this year.
The new Aero Star will feature a brake override system (BOS) as standard, in which brake function will override vehicle acceleration in situations when brake and accelerator pedals are pressed together, avoiding unintended operation.
Its driver seat will be equipped with multi-sensing three-point seatbelt with emergency locking retractor while the vehicle will be equipped with stop-assist system which will offer safe boarding and exit for passengers.
The commercial vehicle maker said that the new large route bus will go on sale across Japan from June this year.
The FUSO 2015 is part of company's 5-pillar strategy which aims to give a push to global sales, which include its target to double international sales volume to about 200,000 units per year.
