Huaxing Petrochemical has installed an electronic intelligent inspection system in its production area to keep a better watch on the refining units and make sure any problems are discovered quickly. It took two months to install the system and there was a training session for operations and maintenance departments in the interim. It developed proper management for the system to ensure smooth operations and it has been running steadily for a month and fully demonstrating its advantages. It covers 729 points at 15 units and has 101 sets of auxiliary inspecting equipment. The points use sensory buttons that are durable, heat, water, corrosion, and electromagnetic wave resistant, and are shockproof and do not freeze. Also, they cannot be copied or tampered with. Inspection personnel only need flash detectors to record the date and time of their inspection. The system has helped manage the inspection work better and has ensured that inspectors do their job. The technology provides strong inspection and data management support and makes it easier to get data and information for the safer running of units.
