According to the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), Turkey is expected to produce 38 million tons of crude steel in 2014, up by 8% compared to the previous year.
It is estimated that Turkey’s steel will total 19 million tons in 2013, down by 6% compared to a year ago. Crude steel production is expected to up by 8% to reach 20.5 million tons in 2014 from a year earlier.
Besides, Turkey’s apparent consumption of crude steel is expected to hit 33 million tons in 2014, up by 9% compared to a year earlier.
