New images of the Jaguar C-X17 concept have been released to coincide with the SUV’s appearance at the Dubai motor show.
First seen in blue at September’s Frankfurt motor show, the new Jaguar C-X17 concept images are accompanied by no new details but show the concept in a new Liquid Aluminium silver paint finish.
Claimed to combine the character and driving experience of a sports car with increased presence and flexibility, sleek lines and luxurious sophistication, the Jaguar C-X17 previews the British brand’s first-ever SUV.
Riding on unique ‘Jaguar’-stamped Pirelli tyres, the sports crossover concept was created as a design study to introduce Jaguar’s all-new aluminium architecture that will underpin a “new range of future Jaguars” beginning with a new BMW 3 Series-rivalling premium mid-sized sedan, due to launch globally in 2015.
A production car based on the C-X17 is anticipated to launch in 2016, though Jaguar is yet to officially confirm the model, saying only that the concept “is one example of the diversity of vehicles that could be produced using the new architecture”.
The gallery comes just one day after Jaguar released the first image of the new F-Type coupe, revealing the hardtop will be available with a large panoramic glass roof.
