Automaker Ford will unveil Fiesta ST in North America at the upcoming 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Fiesta ST features a 1.6L EcoBoost engine which will produce about 200 horsepower (HP) and is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
The horsepower of the new vehicle is high when compared to Mini Cooper S, which has 181 HP and Chevrolet Sonic RS with only 138 HP.
Fiesta ST features a Sport Technologies badge and is expected to achieve about 34 mpg.
The company said that the vehicle features a precision sport-tuned suspension and an improved braking system as well as a punch under the hood.
Fiesta calibration supervisor Mark Roberts said, "With 177 lb.-ft. of torque available from just 1,600 rpm and 214 lb.-ft. by 3,500 rpm, Fiesta ST gives the performance and feel of an engine twice its size."
Earlier this month, Ford had unveiled its plans to launch its 2014 ford Fiesta with 1.0L EcoBoost three-cylinder engine in North American market.
