ANCA, a manufacturer of high quality CNC tool and cutter grinders, won the Large Advanced Manufacturer award at the 50th Australian Export Awards earlier this year.

This is the second time ANCA has won the award, having been successful in 1995.

Austrade State Director for Tasmania and Victoria, Margaret Bounader, said at the award presentation at Parliament House, Canberra: "ANCA is an outstanding example of successful, export-focussed manufacturing.

"ANCA exports 98 per cent of its products and has built its reputation through innovation and a commitment to research and development."

ANCA released a number of quality new products this year, including the MX5 tool grinder.

Established in 1974, ANCA employs more than hundred engineers.

The Melbourne-based company has a global network of overseas offices and agents.

ANCA supplies to industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, electronics and tool manufacturers.  Customers include companies such as Boeing, General Electric, Sandvik, Rolls Royce and Johnson and Johnson.

ANCA director Pat Boland said: "We were pleased to receive the award as it is recognition for the dedication of our employees. ANCA staff are very passionate about our products and helping our customers."

ANCA achieved a 19 per cent increase in export sales during 2011/12 and has been significantly increasing the number of employees over recent years.
