Stainless Steel Cranes Are a Type of Work Station Crane

Stainless steel cranes are a type of work station crane, a material handling machine designed to lift and lower, manipulate and maneuver materials. They are used to lift and move heavy items beyond the capacity of what the average human can lift. Ergonomically designed stainless steel cranes offer flexibility and efficiency, can be adjusted to fit the person operating it, and are known to reduce lifting injuries. They are most often used for loading and unloading freight, the assembly of heavy equipment, and for moving products in production facilities.

Stainless steel cranes are available in a large variety of forms, and are usually custom-designed to meet the specific job requirements. It is important to design a work station crane that fits your work area. Jib cranes are used in a circular work area and offer 180-360 degree rotation. There are jib cranes with straight booms, and articulating jib cranes for when you need to move materials in a 360 degree manner.

Overhead work station cranes, or bridge cranes, are usually used in a rectangular work area and can be designed to cover virtually any distance. The various options in size allow a design that meets the client's specific lifting situation. Which one you consider will depend on the distance you need to move your materials. Work station cranes can be mounted to a wall or ceiling, or they may be freestanding, or portable, depending on the size. They can be manually operated, considered to be most efficient, but they can also be motorized, for use over inaccessible areas.

The Ergonomic Manufacturing Group has been manufacturing and designing material handling systems since 1984 and pioneered the design of stainless steel articulating jib cranes, which unlike our competitors', move in a true 360 degree rotation. We are proud to be the only North American manufacturer of enclosed track stainless steel cranes in both grade 304 and 316L. We are located in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, and all of our products are manufactured in the United States.

Our entire Ergo-Sys Rail product line is available in highly corrosion resistant 316L stainless steel for corrosive environments such as food production and pharmaceutical facilities. These enclosed- track rail systems are available in light or heavy duty rail depending on the weight capacity needed. We work closely with each client throughout the purchasing process to determine which stainless steel cranes, bridge cranes or articulating jib cranes are useful for their requirements.

Ergonomic Manufacturing Group will custom design a material handling system to meet your needs, and will install, provide training, and be available for ongoing assistance and advice as needed. We strive to produce the best equipment possible, but should the unexpected occur, our Emergency Service Department can dispatch trained technicians to any location in the world with minimal notice.
