Display Taiwan sees increased Chinese participants Julian Ho,Taipei;Alex Wolfgram,DIGITIMES[Tuesday 19 June 2012]Display makers from all over Asia have come to the Taiwan Photonics Festival and Display Taiwan Exposition currently taking place where they are showcasing some of their latest AMOLED technology along with OLED displays and touch-screen panels.
The exhibition has set aside a special area for OLED displays where companies,including first-time participant BOE are featuring some of their latest products.Sources say a large delegation of about 500 people from China this year shows that China-based companies are moving more towards developing AMOELED and OLED technology as well as making more efforts to cooperate with Taiwan-based OLED and panel makers.
Chinese officials Yang Xieshan,vice minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT),and Bai Weimin,vice president of China Video Industry Association(CVIA),also visited the show to attend seminars on 4G technology.Yang and Bai are also leading a group which plans to purchase more than NT$120 billion(US$4 billion)worth of electronic and related products from Taiwan this time.
Both exhibitions are running from June 19-21 at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taipei.
