It’s reported that Tata Steel announced to hike the prices for coils and plates by €20/ton for European markets. Also, the company increased the prices by GBP15/ton for the UK market.
After the adjustment, its ex-work prices for hot rolled coils (HRC) are at €420/ton for European market; those for the UK market are at GBP415/ton.
Industry sources predicted that the European steelmakers might follow Tata Steel’s step to raise the prices in the near future.
