James Heal are proud to have been presented with the Queen's Award this week. Company held a double celebration to mark the presentation of the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade and to commemorate 140 years since the company was formed.
The Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire Dr Ingrid Roscoe presented the Queen's Award to Managing Director David Repper, who said;
"This is a great honour and a tribute to the diligence and dedication of over 100 employees and many individuals and companies who have contributed to this achievement"
2012 is also David's 30th year as Managing Director of James Heal. During his acceptance speech, he likened the moment to being the manager of a winning team at the FA Cup Final as he lifted the commemorative rose bowl in celebration.
James Heal was established in 1872 and is a family-owned and run testing instrument and test materials manufacturer, operating from a multi-storey, former textile mill, in Halifax (just behind Dean Clough), which dates back to the 1850s.
