Denholme-Based CR Taylor (Timber) Ltd Has Been Closed

Denholme-based CR Taylor (Timber) Ltd has been closed by administrators after running up losses, but the central Bradford merchanting business has been bought back by former chairman Charles Taylor. The company, which had significant timber engineering operations at the 13-acre Denholme site, called in administrators from BWC Business Solutions on July 6. All jobs are believed to have been lost at the Denholme site, though Mr Taylor’s move for the Thornton Road merchanting site has saved five jobs. Administrators are looking for buyers for the business and assets. CR Taylor reported earlier this year that roof truss sales had increased by 100% in 2011, while I-joists sales had grown by 15%, with a further 80% growth expected in 2012. But a dip in business performance this year is believed to have hit the company. Source: ttjonline
