Soulierestauration Chosen Packaging Solution From RPC Barrier Containers for 'shake Me'

French food manufacturer SouliE Restauration, which is a part of packaged and canned food specialist William Saurin, has chosen packaging solution from RPC Barrier Containers for its new ready meal range ‘Shake Me’.

'Shake Me' comes in thermoformed PP/EVOH/PP 590ml multilayer pots from RPC Bebo Plastik.

The pots have ambient shelf life of 18 months and features RPC Bramlage-manufactured injection moulded PP lid.

Like other shaker products, the range includes ingredients (a sauce topped with pasta) which need to be microwaved, shaken and mixed together prior to consumption.

The container lids offer a tight hermetic seal with the pot which prevents leakage of the sauce and features a bayonet system with two closed positions, in which the rest seals the pack after lling and while on shelf and the second can be used by the consumer to reheat the product.

The lid also has 52 small holes to allow steam evacuation during microwaving, and its design facilitates on-the-go consumption as it allows space to insert forks.

Besides the attractive pot design and bright orange colour aimed for the youth, the container comes with matt-finish lid which features the William Saurin logo for optimum on-shelf branding.

William Saurin product manager Maxence Le Brun said: "The pack provides effective product preservation and protection and, equally important, it projects a youthful quality image in keeping with our target market."
