Sainsbury's Is Recalling Its Own-Brand Taste The Difference Pumpkin Quadrotti Pasta

UK-based supermarket chain Sainsbury's is recalling its own-brand Taste the Difference Pumpkin Quadrotti pasta due to a packaging error,according to the UK Food Standards Agency(FSA).

The pasta is filled with prawns instead of pumpkin,which is not listed in the allergy information box.Consumers with an allergy or intolerance to shellfish have been advised not to eat this product.The Agency has issued an allergy alert.

The product being recalled is Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Pumpkin Quadrotti,250g,with a use by date of 17 July 2012.

Sainsbury's is recalling all the affected stock.Consumers who have bought the product can return it to the store for a full refund.

Customer notices will be displayed in stores,explaining the reason behind the recall.In addition,the company will be contacting the relevant allergy support organizations,which will explain to their members why the product is being recalled.

No other Sainsbury's products are known to be affected.
