The US steelmaker Nucor announced to raise its prices for steel wire products by US$25/net ton, effective on deliveries ended on January 1st, 2014. However, industry sources said that the price rise might be unfavorable to buyers.
Meanwhile, it’s learned that the major steel long product manufacturers in the US including Gerdau North America and ArcelorMittal North America have increase prices for steel wire products by US$30/net ton.
