UK-based Kite Packaging is expanding its headquarters in Coventry, West Midlands with an investment of about £1.5m.
The investment will see the company upgrade its warehouse facilities servicing Midlands and online customers. It also includes the creation of extra capacity.
The Wigley Group's construction unit Wigley Building and Development will carry out the work.
Kite Packaging managing partner Gavin Ashe said: “It is a significant expansion of the site with the creation of a state-of-the-art pick and pack operation and extra warehousing for our Midlands key accounts, and a near doubling of our national distribution centre.
“One of the key drivers is creating extra space for our growth and this will certainly lead to more jobs. We are currently growing our team by more than 12 and are looking to double this during the next two years.”
Recently, the packaging supplier had expanded its branches in Swindon and Letchworth.
Founded in 2001, Kite Packaging is claimed to be an employee-owned packaging company. It operates from six facilities across the UK including the one at Coventry where its e-commerce and waste compliance units are also housed.
Kite Packaging has a range of postal packaging in its inventory to cover for a diverse array of solutions to a broad variety of customers in industries like e-commerce, retail, aerospace, automotive, healthcare, electronics, food and others.
In mid April, Kite Packaging expanded its range of labels which has been added to its online product portfolio.
