Custom MMIC of Westford, MA, USA has added to its growing monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) library of standard products by launching the CMD187 wideband gallium arsenide (GaAs) MMIC amplifier die for RF and microwave applications operating at frequencies of 2-20GHz.
The device delivers greater than 22dB of flat gain with a corresponding output 1dB compression point of +14dBm, and a noise figure of 4.5dB at 20GHz.
The CMD187 is an all-positive bias design, eliminating complicated and costly sequencing circuits while also simplifying board layout. In addition, the use of on-chip tracking circuits ensures consistent performance over temperature and process variation, the firm says. The CMD187 is a 50 Ohm matched design that offers full passivation for increased reliability and moisture protection.
The CMD187 is suitable for microwave radio and VSAT, telecom infrastructure, test instrumentation, and military and space applications.
