Bomar XDT-1018 Was Introduced by Dymax Oligomers and Coatings

Dymax Oligomers and Coatings has introduced Bomar XDT-1018, a thioacrylate dendritic oligomer. Offering exceptional mechanical and physical properties in hard, protective coatings, this material is highly cross-linked and has an acrylated functionality of 18.  It exhibits extreme acid and chemical resistance and is high-temperature resistant up to 350°C.

Designed for low shrinkage, XDT-1018 ensures complete and uniform coverage of substrates, and demonstrates exceptional adhesion properties to ABS, acrylic, aluminum, glass, polycarbonate and stainless steel, according to the company.  Typically, dendritic oligomers are used at 35% to 70% by weight in formulations.  They may also have some use as additives at lower levels.
