PV silver conductive paste is currently in short supply due to a shortage of silver powder. The shortage will continue until July-August 2014, chairman Chen Chi-jen of Taiwan-based PV conductive paste maker Giga Solar Materials said at a May 13 investors conference.
A large increase in PV demand is expected in the China market in the second half of 2014, and PV demand in Japan and Europe will rise in the third quarter due to seasonality, Chen said.
