Sun Chemical’s global inkjet division SunJet and its parent company DIC are set to introduce the new low migration UV curing ink range, EtiJetTM LM UV for the digital label market.
According to SunJet, the inks meet the highest industry standards for food packaging and can also be used in non-food applications on standard label stocks.
The new inkjet technology is suitable for all types of piezo print heads and can exhibit migration levels of <10ppb in inks cured in air with standard mercury lamps.
SunJet global business manager digital Pete Saunders said its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers are keen to ensure their equipment has a broader appeal to converters in labels and packaging.
"Utilizing Sun Chemical's extensive knowledge and experience in low migration technology and regulatory compliance, including a certified testing laboratory, we are in a position to support our customers throughout the packaging design and production process," Saunders said.
