Teijin Received The Best Labour Relations and Welfare Award for a Tenth Consecutive Year

Teijin Limited announced that Teijin Polyester (Thailand) Limited (TPL), a Teijin Group subsidiary in Bangkok, Thailand that manufactures and sells polyester fiber, has received the Best Labour Relations and Welfare Award for a tenth consecutive year.

The annual award, established by Thailand's Ministry of Labour to improve workplace environments, is presented to companies that operate outstanding employment systems. Among the 718 companies selected this year, TPL was just one of six that received the award for a 10th consecutive year.

TPL believes that the award symbolizes public recognition of its initiatives to maintain favorable relations through close dialog among management, labour unions and employees, and to operate a strong employee welfare system.

TPL, which has been operating in Thailand since 1967 and is now the global base for the Teijin Group's polyester fiber production, will continue to enhance its workplace for employees and strive to be a model case for other companies.

Teijin is a technology-driven global group offering advanced solutions in the areas of sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare.
