UK-based supermarket chain Asda is recalling its Free From 5 Caramel Wafers as gluten(wheat)has been detected in some of this product,which is labelled as gluten-free,according to the Food Standards Agency(FSA).
The Agency has issued an allergy alert and has advised consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of wheat or gluten to not eat this product.
The product being recalled is Asda Free From 5 Caramel Wafers,with best before:3 December 2012
Asda is recalling all the affected stock.It will display customer notices in stores,explaining the reason behind the recall.In addition,the company will be contacting relevant allergy support organizations,which will explain to their members why the product is being recalled.
Consumers who have bought the product you can return it the store for a full refund.No other Asda products are known to be affected.
