The new open-top Vantage Roadster is powered by the company's 6.0 litre V12 engine, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox which generates an output power of 517PS at 6,500 rpm and a 570Nm torque at 5,750 rpm.

According to the British carmaker, the engine will allow sports car to sprint from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 190mph.

The new Roadster also comes with a Sport mode button, which allows the driver to select between two different powertrain modes, which include a Normal mode and Sport mode.

Normal mode is the default from turn on and offers more relaxed throttle response appropriate for everyday circumstances which include driving in heavy traffic.

The Sports mode offers sharper throttle response, which will allow the engine to deliver more torque during the initial stages of throttle pedal travel and can be used in more dynamic driving situations where sharper responses are needed.

Features of the new Roadster include an improved rear boot lid and lower front air intake as well as many unique chassis changes, which include an upgraded rear damper set-up, front and rear damper valve tuning and a new rear spring design.

Aston Martin said that the upgrades, along with the deployment of Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, will improve the sports car's straight-line performance as well as enhance handling.

The new Roadster can be ordered currently in selected markets, and is priced at GBP150,000 in the UK.
