German private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg Vogel, the central European representative of Lindsay Goldberg in New York is set to acquire German plastic packaging manufacturer, Weener Plastik.
The deal is pending approval from anti-trust authorities and will help Weener pursue its global expansion plans.
In 2006, Weener opened a 50,000ft2 plant in Wilson, North Carolina, which was part of its acquisition of Euro-Matic Group of South Greenford, England, in November 2005.
The company has invested about $5m to renovate the site. The facility produces primarily injection molded closures.
Weener manufactures sealing caps, valve caps, beverage caps, plastic bottles, jars, dispensers and dosing systems for home care, chemical, pharmaceuticals, personal care and food and beverages.
