Bayer MaterialScience LLC has developed a diverse portfolio of raw materials for coatings that provide a solution for many architectural, building and construction applications. This broad portfolio has showcased at the Durability + Design 2014 conference and exhibition, in Cincinnati.
Bayer's raw materials and technologies include waterborne, polyaspartics and waterborne ultraviolet- (UV) cured coatings, which can be applied to a variety of surfaces such as concrete and vinyl floors, walls and decks. In addition to uses in healthcare, hospitality, higher education, and governmental buildings, the technologies can also be used for waterproofing and roofing applications.
Also during the conference, Steven Reinstadtler, coatings marketing manager – Construction Group and Sustainability, Coatings, Adhesives & Specialties (CAS), Bayer MaterialScience LLC, moderated a panel discussion "Good Practice in Specifying Coatings and Other Finishes". Part of the discussion focussed on the role of sustainability in the coatings market. Bayer is focused on sustainability when bringing its products conception to market. Sustainability is central to Bayer's business and is based around the key areas of innovation, product stewardship, social responsibility and respect for the environment.
