HP has unveiled new portfolio of solutions for digital printing and embellishment of labels at this year’s Labelexpo event in Belgium.
The event is being held between 25 and 28 September in Brussels.
The new solutions can be used to convert labels and packaging printing from analog to digital, helping converters to expand their businesses into new markets.
At the event, the company is showcasing HP Indigo WS6800 digital press integrated with the HP Indigo GEM, HP Indigo 20000 digital press with HP Indigo pack ready lamination for flexible packaging and HP Indigo 8000 narrow-web digital press.
HP Indigo GEM is a new one-pass digital embellishments solution, which can be integrated with HP Indigo WS6800 digital press to produce decorated labels.
The fully digital one-pass printing press can be used for embellishment with foil, screen, tactile, varnish and other special effects.
HP Specialty Printing Systems (SPS) OEM partners are showcasing solutions based on the new SI-1300 desktop labeling print engine and other technology.
Pack Ready for Labels is a new solution that allows to produce high-resistance labels for household and chemical products.
The new HP Indigo ElectroInk formula allows to generate a wide gamut of metallic colors, helping to combine metallic effects with digital capabilities in one printing process.
HP Indigo WS6800, along with HP Indigo GEM will be supported by new HP Production Pro for Indigo labels and packaging.
HP Production Pro allows converters to manage fleets of HP Indigo label presses, while connecting the press to automation tools such as HP PrintOS, MIS systems and the Esko automation engine QuickStart for labels.
HP Indigo general manager Alon Bar-Shany said: “The innovation now continues, as we expand our capabilities and bring the industry’s most powerful digital label printing solutions that will help converters double their digital business over the next few years.”
