Northeast South Dakota farmers have the opportunity to visit with SDSU Extension Crops Specialists in one location on one day during the 2014 Row Crop Expo. The program will be held at the Codington County Extension Complex in Watertown, 1910 West Kemp Ave. Registration is $5 at the door.
The featured speaker will be Paul Fixen Senior Vice President and Research Director at International Plant Nutrition Institute. He travels the world dealing with fertility issues and will speak on Supporting 9 Billion People While Remaining Profitable at 10:30 a.m.
The event opens at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast sponsored by KWAT radio. The program will start at 9:30 a.m. with Dennis Todey SDSU Extension Climatologist discussing the 2014 weather outlook. Then Paul Fixen at 10:30 followed by at 11:30 when Lisa Elliott, SDSU Commodity Marketing Specialist will share the Crop Marketing Outlook and Risks.
