The Taiwanese Stainless Steel Market Remained Quiet

Last week, the Taiwanese stainless steel market remained quiet, with the stable nickel price of over US$17,000/ton, the stainless steel mills planned to lift the price further, but it still needs time to see the possibility.

The Chinese steel giant Taigang Stainless announced to cut the 300 series stainless steel prices by US$50/ton, making market participants worry about that the Taiwanese stainless steel would raise the prices for February the expectation.

It is estimated that the Taiwanese stainless steel mills would probably lift the prices by NT$2,000/ton (US$69/ton) for February.
