Safe Haven Self Storage announced recently that it has selected Xeleum Lighting to convert its self storage facility located in Elmsford, New York to LED lighting, based upon the success of the earlier conversion to Xeleum LED lighting at its Mount Kisco location. The conversion from the existing fluorescent system will begin immediately at its 80,000 square foot facility.
Mehrdad Ghalebi, Xeleum President, stated "We are thrilled to have been selected by Safe Haven to convert lighting to LED at their second and larger facility in Elmsford, New York."
Kristian Pariseau, Safe Haven Director of Operations stated, "The results and cost savings of the initial conversion to Xeleum LED lighting at our Mount Kisco facility demonstrated that it was an even better investment than we originally thought and we knew it was only a matter of time before the okay came to convert our second and larger facility."
He added, "The project consists of installing 739 Xeleum Titanium Series LED fixtures along with 125 Xeleum XCO-100 dual motion/daylight controllers. Additionally, Xeleum was able to secure a rebate of $30,077 for Safe Haven Elmsford through Con Edison's Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Program and also obtain financing so there was no initial out of pocket expense for this project. The simple payback period is just over two years with a positive monthly cash flow of $1,600.00 net of financing. All in all, Safe Haven Elmsford will realize a five year savings of over of $223,500.00."
