Global clinical technology solutions provider Trifecta Clinical and SAFE-BioPharma have entered into a strategic partnership to promote use of standards-based digital identities.
Under the deal, Trifecta will implement SAFE-BioPharma's digital identity and signature standard across its application platforms, which offers standardized, high-assurance identity trust for cyber-transactions across the biopharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
The deal will increase the adoption of standards-based identity management, improving security, quality and compliance.
Additionally, Trifecta Clinical has also joined SAFE-BioPharma Association's Vendor Partner Program.
Trifecta Clinical president Alden Meier said SAFE-BioPharma digital identity credentials will improve the company's ability to quickly and securely exchange data with sponsors, clinical research organization and consortiums, saving money and time.
"It will simplify complicated processes for our clients as well as investigators," Meier added.
The pharmaceutical industry along with the European Medicines Association (EMA) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has created the SAFE-BioPharma standard.
The standard will help in creating and maintaining an interoperable digital identity and signature standard that enables secure, trusted exchanges and legally-binding digital signatures.
