Amerinet, a national healthcare solutions organization, has signed an agreement with All Medical Solutions (AMS), the Healthcare division of Fusion Systems North America, to make the AMS SPHER, a health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPAA) compliance solution, available to its members.
AMS' SPHER is a cloud-based audit log review and breach detection system that audits electronic health records (EHRs) and detects breaches in addition to learning the routine of each individual in the practice in the healthcare organization.
With the help of the new system, the privacy/security officer of the healthcare organization gets an alert email when something out of the ordinary is done.
Amerinet members including clinics, hospitals, integrated delivery networks, long term and extended care facilities, physician practices, and surgery centers are all benefited by SPHER.
AMS partner Andrew Kan said the company's aim is to make sure that all Amerinet members are HIPAA security compliant.
