UK-based vehicle manufacturer MINI has unveiled the production version of new Paceman sports activity coupé ahead of its world premiere at 2012 Paris motor show in France.
The new coupe will be offered with two petrol and two diesel powertrains with an output of 82 kW/112 hp to 135 kW/184 hp, while the engine for John Cooper Works variant will generate an output of 215hp.
According to the carmaker, all the engines will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional six-speed automatic transmission.
Features of the new coupe include new powertrain technology and standard enhanced MINIMALISM technology with an optional sport button.
The MINIMALISM technology equipped as standard on all models will comprise of brake energy regeneration, the need-based operation of ancillary components, electric power steering and the gear shift Indicator which, like the auto start/stop function, works in tandem with the manual gearbox.
The new coupe will also features a new chassis technology with MacPherson spring struts, electric power steering with servotronic function, dynamic stability control (DSC), dynamic traction control (DTC) with an optional electronic differential lock control (EDLC).
Mini revealed that the four variants of the new Paceman coupe include Cooper S, Cooper, Cooper SD and Cooper D.
