The Australian government has decided to launch an antidumping duty investigation regarding quenched and tempered steel plate imports from Finland, Japan and Sweden.
The investigation follows an application by Australia-based Bisalloy Steels Pty Ltd (Bisalloy) alleging that the goods in question have been exported to Australia at prices less than their normal value and that the dumping has caused material injury in the domestic market. The investigation covers the period between January 1 and December 31, 2013.
The products subject to the antidumping duty investigation currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Number 7225.40.00.
