Vacumet Has Announced to Make Compostable Paper for Packaging and Meets ASTM D-6868

Vacumet, a metalized paper manufacturer, has announced to make compostable paper for packaging and meets the ASTM D-6868 standards.

Offering an environmentally sound alternative to foil, foil laminated papers, and metallized films, the new papers are ideal for sandwich wraps and bags in addition to pouching for multiple applications, while keeping the visual appeal intact.

The papers are available in a wide range of weights and functioning properties, and are ideal to be used in place of foils, and metallized films for wrapping foodstuff, or in pouching applications.

Vacumet business and technical development director Joe Formosa said the new line of packaging papers offer a green alternative to foils for food packaging.

"Consumers are more aware of environmentally-conscious food packaging and we've developed a product that meets these needs." added Formosa.
