Glassworks Hounsell Announced a Turnover Increase of More Than 50% From 2011-2012

UK-based Glassworks Hounsell is celebrating its 125th anniversary by announcing a turnover increase of more than 50% from 2011-2012.

The company, which specialises in precision engineering, has recently taken on more work due to an increased demand for its services.

Following these increases, it has also invested in a new factory unit with a view to expand its capabilities.

According to the company, one of the reasons for its positive growth is the YMT146 CNC machine, which enables it to improve productivity. It is combining this with investment into a factory management system to allow real time data capture and analysis to further improve efficiency.

Commercial Director William Brinkman said: "There has been considerable investment in new facilities with the intention of taking on more business and expanding further. We're investing to expand and we're expecting next year to be a big year for us."
