Packaging conversion company Printpack has announced a $66m expansion of its four facilities in Villa Rica, Georgia, US and the addition of 20 new jobs that were initially announced in February.
The expansion includes new warehousing space of 48,000ft2 and 6,000ft2 of new office space at Printpack's original building, and the replacement of the facility's manufacturing equipment.
According to the company, the announcement was made early in the process, and the expansion is closer to getting started.
Printpack director of engineering Doug Cook said the amount to be spent on the facility will actually be $72.6m.
"The industry we are in is fairly capital intensive," Cook added.
Printpack offers product and service capabilities from 28 manufacturing sites worldwide.
