RiceBran Technologies has developed a range of new craft brewing ingredients containing stabilized rice bran which will be marketed as ProRyza Brew.
The new ProRyza Brew line of ingredients are rich in carbohydrate, and are non-GMO, as well as gluten free.
RiceBran Technologies claims that the oil in bran brings out more hops flavor which will allow brewmasters to use less hops in their formulations and help reduce overall brewing costs.
The company has also partnered with PicoBrew to replace certain existing grains used in the brewing process with ProRyza Brew ingredients.
RiceBran Technologies ProRyza Brew project coordinator Richard Ray said: "We are excited to work with PicoBrew as our first step toward entering this fast growing segment of the beer industry.
" PicoBrew's Zymatic simplifies the home brewing process and has enabled it to build a loyal, growing customer base of creative home brewmasters."
Besides targeting the home brewer market with PicoBrew, RiceBran Technologies also plan to aggressively market the benefits of ProRyza Brew line of ingredients to small, medium and large craft brewers across the US in 2015.
