Exeter Glass Centre and Mackenzie Glass & Glazing, both located in Exeter, United Kingdom, merged to become Exeter & Mackenzie Glass Centres, with Mackenzie joining Exeter as part of the Cornwall Glass & Glazing Group, according to an Oct. 31 release.

The merger has widened the service area for both companies to include Devon and the South of Somerset. With more than 30 colleagues in the sales office, estimating, glazing and production along with 10 delivery and glazing vehicles, Exeter & Mackenzie Glass Centres is now the largest glazing operation in the Southwest region of the United Kingdom, according to the release.

Exeter Glass recently expanded its factory by 25 percent, allowing the company to install new machinery, including a specialist vertical glass saw for processing the range of Pilkington Fire Glass, two automatic drilling machines along with a glass beveller and two straight line edge working machines, according to the release. Along with the factory expansion, Exeter has also refurbished its two-floor showroom, including a modern meeting and training room with additional glazing offices. The Mackenzie branch will be relocating to new premises in early 2014, according to the release.
