Trulite's Laminated Glass Is Produced in-House at One of Our Eight Manufacturing Plants

Trulite's laminated glass is produced in-house at one of our eight manufacturing plants. The process encompasses two or more pieces of glass that are permanently bonded together with a polyvinyl butyral interlayer (PVB) by the introduction of heat and pressure in an autoclave. Laminated glass meets safety glazing requirements and will remain in the opening if breakage should occur. Most commonly used in skylights, overhead glazing, impact resistant glazing, hurricane glazing, bomb & blast resistance, and areas requiring resistance to forcible entry. While eliminating almost 99% of the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays, the vinyl interlayer will also reduce sound transmission in areas of high traffic or where constant noise is present and needs to be controlled. Heat-treated glass can be laminated together to provide a stronger finished product for the most demanding applications.

Interlayers come in multiple colors (Clear, Bronze, Grey, Green), and thicknesses (.015, .030, .060, and .090)
